Three Dayton-area companies among nation’s largest black businesses

The Dayton region has three companies on the 2014 Black Enterprise 100s: The Nation's Largest Black Businesses.


The annual report looks at majority black-owned or largest black-owned companies by annual revenue or assets in four categories: industrial/service, auto dealerships, advertising and financial services.


In the industrial/service category, Middletown-based Hightowers Petroleum Co. ranks No. 12 with revenue of $308 million.


In the auto list, Monroe-based The Bob Ross Auto Group ranks No. 34 with revenue of $67 million. Also in the auto list is Centerville-based Joe Morgan Honda, which ranks No. 45 with revenue of $47 million.
