Tank Monitoring and Environmental Compliance
The Hightowers Petroleum Team and their supply chain will
use their tank monitoring program to manage the bulk fuel inventory
at the customer’s locations with electronic tank gauges where
available as well as manual readings. This will include receipt
of product, dispersals, and daily inventory levels. This information
will be used to schedule deliveries to maintain designated inventory
levels.
Benefits
- Employees at locations will no longer be
required to monitor and forecast inventories and usage. Elimination
of on-site data collection for compliance.
- The need for central office personnel to
evaluate prices, contact vendors, and schedule deliveries will
be eliminated. Allows location personnel to concentrate on other
job priorities.
- ATG alarms will be recorded and acted upon
daily
- Remote diagnostics will be performed on
ATG’s when equipment or system problems occur to prevent
unnecessary service calls.
Features
The HPC team will remotely monitor fuel
storage at each facility on a daily basis. The information obtained
will then be reviewed for any discrepancies that do not fall into
the normal parameters for day to day activity (i.e., excessive activity,
large withdrawals, or overages and shortages).
- Daily Data Collection
- Alarms will be polled and logged
- Inventory irregularities will be noted and
reported
- Equipment anomalies will be logged and reported
with advice for correction
- Protection against run-out and over-fill
situations
- System converts inches to gallons
- Monthly Statistical Inventory Reconciliation
(SIR) report (compare daily change in inventory levels with the
change in pump meters
Data Collection Options
- Polled remotely using tank monitors
- Stick readings input on website
- Stick readings faxed daily
- Stick readings called in via touch-tone
phone
Replenishment Scheduling Options
- Keep full
- Just in time
- Tank minimums (tank bottom inventory)
Logistics
- Run-outs will be prevented
- Rush Loads will be avoided
- No-fits will be prevented
- Market conditions and usage, not on need
or desperation, which can result in five to ten cents per gallon
savings, will determine orders.
Inventory Management
- Monitor the fuel consumption at the facility
- Analyze daily inventory figures and schedule
product replenishment to protect against run-outs.
- Maintain levels to be consistent with consumption
Facility Upgrades
- Eliminates your outlay for improvements
or upgrades on fuel equipment.
- Project managed by Hightower Petroleum and
its supply change contract’s manager, thereby, freeing up
your personnel from the “headaches” associated with
equipment installation and repair.
- Per gallon repayment allows customer to
forego a few cents in fuel profit to pay for upgrades, however,
HPC reduced pricing may counterbalance the cents per gallon necessary
to pay for the equipment.
Administrative Savings
Clients will realize a reduction in the administrative
costs associated with bulk fuel by utilizing a single fuel vendor.
- No need to evaluate multiple prices each day.
- No need to forecast inventories and usage.
- No need to call and contact vendor(s) to schedule deliveries
- Cost plus arrangement with option to audit insures competitive
daily price thereby eliminating the need to match each invoice
to daily quoted prices.
- Single vendor payment reduces processing and check costs.
- ACH and EFT payment options available
Consignment
The HPC team and supply chain purchase
the existing inventory in tank and sells back to the customer. Customer
is billed based off of consumption. Program provides for a reduced
capitol outlay for fuel, increased payment terms, and improved administrative
efficiencies.
