Hightowers initial experience in the transportation
Industry began when BP Oil supported Hightowers Petroleum Co.
in 1984 as a Contract Carrier “To and From All points
in the State of Ohio for Property.” It was during this
time that HPC obtained experience providing jet fuel to Government
Facilities throughout Ohio and hauled millions of gallons to
Transit Authorities, cities, and State Government throughout
Ohio. A decision was made in the late 80’s to concentrate
on developing the core business of providing fuel services to
customers throughout the Mid-West.
It was during the early days of Hightowers Petroleum that the
relationship with Leasway Transportation, Bulk Materials Inc,
and other transporters began. Even though Hightowers obtained
as many as 5 tractor-trailers for bulk fuels distribution, subcontracting
excess transportation was always required. Today Kenan Advantage,
along with other carriers in the region, provides Terminal support
services and training for the Hightower Transport drivers and
staff.
With a combined family business tradition of 46 years, and three
generations later, Hightowers Transport Co. brings the same
enthusiasm, professionalism, and work ethic to the Transportation
Industry that we have brought to many other customers in the
past.
